International Women's Day is an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of women and celebrate the resilience of those who have fought for gender equality against all odds.
From a century ago to today, this day-long event has grown into a global movement with millions of people around the world coming together to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness to issues such as gender equality, and advocate for women's rights.
We may think that women’s empowerment has come a long way, but we also have so much further to go - every effort towards positive change is significant.
March 8th should be a reminder that no matter how small, we can all make a difference if we take the initiative and stand up for what is right.
